One of the major services (besides tax problems solving for individuals, and tax services for small business entities) offered by AAS Tax Services , is income tax return preparation for individuals.
All tax returns are prepared by Andy Adamczuk who is an IRS Licensed Enrolled Agent.
There are two distinctive groups of tax returns for individuals we prepare: (*) Federal Income Tax Returns, and (*) State Income Tax Returns. The form used for the Federal Tax Returns is coded 1040. There are also two other versions of the 1040 used for less complex tax situations: 1040A and 1040-EZ. The tax information is entered on supporting schedules and forms, and the data flows onto the main Form 1040. States may use different nomenclatures for their respective forms; however, the State of New Jersey codes the form NJ-1040.
AAS Tax Services can prepare complex tax returns which go beyond the schedules listed in this paragraph. However, examples of some of the most commonly used Federal schedules and sub-forms used by our clients are: (*) Schedule A (itemized deductions such as interest on mortgage), (*) Schedule C (business activities of sole proprietor), (*) Schedule D (capital transactions), (*) Schedule E (rental income and royalty income), (*) Earned Income Credit, (*) deductions for interest on student loans, (*) education credits, (*) all other supporting schedules and forms required to complete the Federal Income Tax Returns.
If you require, we can do analysis which is the most beneficial tax filing for you: Married Filing Separately vs. Married Filing Jointly. Also, we can separate your tax liability from from your spouse's by including in the return forms for Innocent Spouse Relief.
We also prepare State Income Tax Returns. As expected, the most common in our office are returns for New Jersey, followed by New York State/New York City combined, and Pennsylvania. We also prepare tax returns for other states, as well as multi-state tax returns for those who moved from one state to another, or just live in one state, but have income from other state(s).
We e-file all Tax Returns prepared by AAS Tax Services. There is no additional charge for the e-filing. It is included in the tax return preparation fee.
Any corrections to previously filed returns (Amended Returns) can be done within 3 years counting from the filing deadline.
For those who never filed taxes, and for those for whom the IRS did substitute tax returns, we can file returns for all the prior years. The benefit of doing this is that you clarify the situation about how much you owe. Also, as far as the IRS prepared substitute returns are concerned, when you file you own returns you usually have lower liabilities. This is because the IRS will not include all the deductions you deserve in the returns they prepare.
All returns are prepared in accordance with the applicable Federal and State tax laws and regulations.
